We have been in the classic cars business restoring and selling hot rods for many years.

Whenever Danny Wilhelm’s father would visit him in Danville and they would drive past the old Truex service station at 5 E Main Street he would comment “We should put a hot rod shop there “

Lanny Wilhelm passed in April of 2014 but Danny and his wife Karleen are making that dream come true with the opening of Masterpiece Classic Cars Legacy.

The Yellow 1967 Corvette was Lanny Wilhelm’s favorite car and is not for sale; but they do have the latest collection of classic cars, custom rides, rods, muscle cars, and antiques that are for sale.

The Wilhelm's have been busy restoring the old Marathon gas station with the exterior has been repaired and painted, the interior cleaned up and wood floor restored. Old advertising signs and neon creations decorate the shelves and walls and old 1950’s -style kitchen tables serve as desks.

There is even a child's table for their daughter Porsha buys and sells her hot wheels.

The gas pumps are long gone but that just means there is more room for the classic cars.

There is a lot of original here and there’s a lot that's been redone. Danny said this is going to be fun, this was always a dream I wanted to do with my father.
